A nice night shot of the River Liffey, facing the Port of Dublin.
Part of the reason I ended up in Dublin this weekend was because of something a few of my roommates celebrate back at school – Unofficial. Basically at the University of Illinois, they celebrate St. Patrick’s day the weekend before because the school has banned it. So the abroad students of U of I descended on Dublin to celebrate, I just kinda tagged along. There was surprisingly 50-60 people in the group of kids I was with, but there were definitely more around the city.
It was great meeting all their friends and even some others that go to U of I and learn about where they’re studying in Europe. We walked around the city going to different pubs and restaurants. We ended up going to the Jameson Distillery later that afternoon as well to see how they distill their whiskey. The tour definitely wasn’t as good as the Guinness Storehouse, because it was quite a bit shorter.Tags: Arcadia University, Day 36, Dublin, Friday, Ireland, Liffey, Nightime, River, Roma Tre
